Quail Valley Dolphins

Coach Marlene Bruten, OLY, is a lifelong swimmer whose passion for the sport is only outshined by the incredible work she does with youth teams worldwide. From representing Mexico in the Seoul Olympics in 1988 to participating in the Central American Games, Pan American Games, and Maccabiah, there isn’t much in this sport she hasn’t done. Outside of her own accomplishments, she has coached and managed Team USA for the Maccabiah Games repeatedly.

Her favorite stroke is the butterfly and she enjoys teaching kids of all ages to love the water as much as she does.

She is also an aquatic therapist and a personal trainer. Outside of the water, you can find her teaching in a Montessori classroom or tutoring her students in Spanish, which is just one of the four languages she speaks!
